Luckily the printer's plant is in South Korea, so thanks to the swift and comprehensive response to the outbreak there, nothing's been shut down. Also, The Art of Paradigm Shift needed some corrections in pre-press, so I've had to do some back and forth to get that sorted. There was a misprint in the proofs that we're getting sorted out first. I don't have an exact shipping date yet, though. It's really great to hold these two books in my hands after all the work I've put into them over the last few months (and years!) As you can see, they books look fantastic! And there I have some good news I can share with you:įirstly-last week I got advance proof copies of Volumes 1 & 2 in the mail, and they're beautiful!īut don't take my word for it.
However, things are finally settling down a little and I've been able to turn my attention to Paradigm Shift again with my studio time. I've spent the last few weeks learning a whole new set of skills and helping my students with technical issues as we moved the school online.
While I'm used to doing that, I've had to move my teaching job online, and there's been a significant learning curve to this whole "distance learning" thing. We are in self-imposed "shelter in place" here in Massachusetts, and both my wife and I can work from home. I was just sending The Art of Paradigm Shift off to the printer before the coronavirus news hit, and it's been a case of weathering the disruptions in the weeks since. This month has been about as crazy as they come. I hope this message finds you healthy and safe. I hope these ebooks are a welcome distraction for you. Let me know if you don't receive the links to the files in your inbox, and I'll make sure you get your copies! So you can click on things in the "Character Profile" and "Author Notes" sections to navigate to the relevant pages and back (if you click on the panel in question.) They're pretty much identical to the upcoming print collections, aside from one feature: they have live footnote and character links. The one on the right already has a home, but on the right is yet unclaimed. Here are a couple for the "Exclusive Character Drawing" level. I've also started working on the reward commissions. Hopefully this will mean you'll be getting your books around the time we can start leaving the house again. (I will post images as soon as I can.) Assuming everything checks out, the books will be getting on a boat at the end of the month, with a tentative arrival date in the US in early July.
